We all are equal!

This month is about acknowledging the achievements and contributions of African Americans in our country.

The history and origination of Black History Month dates back to 1926. This month is about acknowledging the achievements and contributions of African Americans in our country.

As an Ahmadi Muslim I believe our race doesn’t matter. It should not matter how we look like. God has created us all equal. We should clear our hearts and live peacefully. Islam had set the ground rules of racial equality more than fourteen hundreds years ago. The Quran says, “O mankind We have created you from a male and a female; and We have made you into tribes and sub-tribes that you may recognize one another. Verily, the most honorable among you in the sight of God is he who is the most righteous among you...” (49:14).

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also emphasized that God does not look at our appearance but rather He looks at what is inside our hearts. The Prophet (pbuh) said, “God does not look upon your bodies and your outward appearance but He looks at your hearts.” Martin Luther King Jr. also worked tirelessly for equality in America.

When we study history, we learn about the great things about people of various races or backgrounds. We should value people through their work and honor their contributions no matter who they are.
My message to you is “Love for all, Hatred for None”.
