What's Open and Closed in Fredericksburg 2015 Christmas

Christmas is almost here and public agencies and departments are preparing for a little time away from the office.

Here are the schedules for what is open and closed over the holiday in the Fredericksburg area.

City of Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, Stafford County

• Offices closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24-25
• Offices closed New Year’s Day, Jan. 1

VRE Schedule

• December 24, 2015 - “S” Schedule
• December 25, 2015 - No VRE service in observance of Christmas
• December 28-31, 2015 - “S” Schedule
• January 1, 2016 - No VRE service in observance of New Year’s Day
• January 18, 2016 - No VRE service in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Fredericksburg Area Schools

• Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania schools will reopen Monday, Jan. 4.
• Stafford County winter break runs from Dec. 23 until Jan. 1. Will reopen Monday, Jan. 4.

Rappahannock Regional Landfill

• Open Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve until 5 p.m.
• The landfill will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
• The convenience centers will close at noon on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and be closed for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

Central Rappahannock Regional Libraries

• All branches are closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24-25.
