FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Labor Day weekend marks the unofficial last hurrah for summer as many families will head to beaches and other destinations or host backyard barbecues.
Labor Day falls on Monday, Sept. 2, when Fredericksburg City offices will be closed along with other services. Government offices in Stafford and Spotsylvania counties will be closed as well Many students who have already started school will have a four-day weekend from Friday to Monday. Other services like transit will be open with schedule changes.

- All Fredericksburg governmental offices will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2.
- Stafford County offices, departments, facilities, and all courts will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 2.
- Fredericksburg Circuit Court: Closed on Monday, Sept. 2.
- Fredericksburg Visitors Center: Open on Monday, Sept. 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- All Spotsylvania County offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday.
- Stafford County Parks: All outdoor parks are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 2
- Post offices: Closed on Monday, Sept. 2
- Spotsylvania Visitors Center and Museum will be open for regular hours on Monday, Sept. 2.
- R-Board Regional Landfill, both the Eskimo Hill and Belman Road locations will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2.
- Livingston Landfill will be closed on Monday, Sept. 2
