Everyone is different.
No two people learn exactly the same way. Politicians are always looking for the latest secret ingredient that will help children grow into successful adults. But our children don’t fit into boxes labeled “auditory learner,” “visual learner,” or “kinesthetic learner.” Our children should not be defined by their scores from standardized tests.

There are all kinds of theories about how people learn, about how to be successful, about what is wrong with education. But theories don’t help you when your second grader cries every morning because they “hate school.” Theories don’t help you when your teenager wants to drop out.
Bedivergent.com is about addressing specific issues faced by students, parents and teachers and trying to find a solution. Teachers and administrators are looking for strategies and interventions. Parents are looking for tips, tricks and suggestions they can try with their kids. Whatever they’re called, the goal is the same: a team of caring adults looking for ways to help the children in their lives become the best person/learner they can be.
