Wild Police Chase Ends With Arrest in Stafford

A man was arrested Monday following a wild police chase last weekend on Interstate 95, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

STAFFORD, VA — A man who led police on a wild chase last weekend on Interstate 95 was arrested early Monday morning at his residence, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Sheriff's Office. Deltrick France Daniels, 34, of Fletcher Drive, was charged with eluding police, reckless driving and failure to obey traffic lights. He's being held without bond.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, an officer headed south on Warrenton Road was behind a light-colored sedan that ran a red light at the intersection of Sanford Drive. The cop hit his lights but the suspect kept going and made it to I-95 South, where police continued to chase him. He exited onto Carl D. Silver Parkway and them made a U-turn at Central Park, where his face was clearly seen by an officer's spotlight.

He headed back toward Route 3 and then resumed heading south on I-95 for several miles. He turned onto the grassy median at mile marker 116.5, and that's when police lost sight of him. But the car's tags showed a residence at Fletcher Drive. Warrants were obtained, and he was identified and arrested.
