Woman Charged With Myriad Traffic Offenses in Stafford: Police
A woman driving erratically with no brake lights late last Friday afternoon was taken to jail after being arrested on a variety of charges.

STAFFORD, VA — A woman driving erratically with no brake lights late last Friday afternoon was taken to jail after being arrested on a variety of charges, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office. Angela Dawn Mulvihill, 52, of Cambridge Street, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of an open container while operating a vehicle, driving on a suspended or revoked license, traffic lane violation and failure to wear a seat belt.
Shortly before 4:30 p.m., a woman called police and alerted them that a blue Ford pickup in the area of Blue and Gray Parkway and Kings Highway was swerving and had driven into a ditch. Police responded but found the woman had gotten out of the ditch. They then spotted a vehicle matching the description stopped at a red light on Cool Springs Road waiting to turn left onto Butler Road.

The truck had no brake lights, and once on Butler Road, it swerved across lane markings several times. Police initiated a traffic stop but the truck kept heading west before stopping near the intersection of Castle Rock Drive.
Police approached the driver, saw she wasn't wearing a seat belt and detected a strong odor of alcohol. An officer requested her operating licence. She said had one but had left it home and couldn't remember her social security number.

Mulvihill was give a field sobriety test and then charged with DUI. When police searched the vehicle, they found two 42-ounce Steel Reserve beer bottles, one of which was half full.
