Woodford Man Hit By Car in Fredericksburg

State Police are investigating the crash.

A Woodford man remains at with serious injuries after he was hit by a car Saturday night near Hudgins Road on U.S. 1 north near the Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County border.

Virginia State Police Trooper L.L. Batten is investigating the crash and no charges have been filed, said State Police Sgt. Les Tyler.

Tyler said the crash happened at about 11:53 p.m. about 1/10th of a mile north of Hudgins Road.

A 53-year-old Fredericksburg man driving a 2008 Chevy Impala northbound on U.S. 1 hit Michael Lee Hare, 23, who was walking in the right line, Tyler said. Hare was transported to Mary Washington Hospital's trauma center.
