1,799 Miles with Herndon Village Network!
Making a Difference—and a Friend—Along the Way.
Herndon Village Network (HVN) is an integral part of the Herndon community. Through HVN, vetted volunteer drivers provide transportation for senior citizens who reside in the 20170 area. Transportation is available weekdays and weekends, and it includes rides to doctor offices, grocery stores, social engagements, and more!
The need is great. In August, HVN’s wonderful drivers volunteered a sum of 171 hours as they provided 99 rides to Herndon’s senior citizens, who traveled a total of 1,799 miles. An amazing gift of time, these rides allowed our elderly to remain engaged in the community.
Join the HVN driving team and volunteer a few hours each month. You’ll be making a difference—and a friend—along the way.
