STERLING, VA — Two deputies were shot while responding to a domestic incident in Sterling, authorities said on Sunday.
Deputies with the Loudon County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene Christmas Eve on Hollow Mountain Place when they were shot, the sheriff's office said on Twitter.
Their injuries were described as serious but they are expected to survive. A suspect is in custody, authorities said. Further details weren't immediately released.
