2 Drunk Men Lead Police on Chase in Herndon: Police
An officer tried to pull them over when they suddenly attempted to flee, causing an accident, police said.

HERNDON, VA — Two men from Sterling were arrested after leading Herndon police on a brief chase before crashing their car, according to a police report.
A police officer on Aug. 28 attempted to stop a driver in the 1000 block of Herndon Parkway who appeared to be driving under the influence, but instead of stopping, the driver led the officer on a "short pursuit" that ended in a minor accident without injuries, according to the report.
Rather than give up, the driver jumped out of the car along with a passenger and both attempted to flee, but were quickly taken into custody, police said.

Police arrested 31-year-old Randy Lee Bush and 28-year-old Rodney Wayne Linder, both of Sterling. Bush faces charges of driving under the influence and eluding a police officer, while Linder faces charges of drunkenness and a drug/narcotic violation.
