2 Pedestrians Injured After Being Struck By Vehicle On Elden Street
A pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries Monday afternoon when they were struck by a vehicle on Elden Street in Herndon.

HERNDON, VA — Two pedestrians were injured — one seriously — after being struck by a vehicle Monday afternoon in the 1000 block of Elden Street, according to a 3:28 p.m. post on the Herndon Police Department's official Twitter account.
The first victim was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, according to police. The victim was later reported to be in stable condition. The second victim only suffered minor injuries, according to police.
Police closed eastbound Elden Street between Alabama Drive toward Sterling Road while the accident reconstruction team conducted an investigation into the cause of the crash. The driver remained on the scene and police say that speed did not appear to be a factor in the crash.
