4 Teens Accused of Spraying Gang-Related Graffiti Throughout Herndon

They face charges of gang participation and destruction of property.

HERNDON, VA — The Herndon Police Department has charged four teenagers accused of spraying gang-related graffiti in Herndon over the last three months.

Police charged two 16-year-old boys from Herndon, a 15-year-old boy from Herndon, and a 15-year-old boy from Sterling. None of them were identified because of their age.

The charges stem from "several gang-related graffiti cases, which occurred within the Town of Herndon over the past three months," police said in a statement.

All four of them face charges of destruction of property and gang participation. Two of them were arrested, while the other two were petitioned to appear in court.

The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force.

Police say the investigation is ongoing and the teens could face more charges.
