Greg Barrett: Author, Investigative Journalist and Speaker - Presentation at First Baptist Church of Herndon

First Baptist Church of Herndon invites you to hear Greg Barrett speak on global issues and his non-fiction narrative The Gospel of Rutba: War, Peace, and the Good Samaritan Story in Iraq. 

This Wednesday, May 22nd from 7:00 - 8:00pm, you can hear Greg speak at the First Baptist Church of Herndon at 681 Elden Street in Herndon, VA.

The Gospel of Rutba tells the story of how a rural desert town in western Iraq rescued 3 American peacemakers during the Shock & Awe bombings in 2003.

And it's the story of how those same Americans returned seven years later to the Iraqi desert to help the town heal from its war wounds - Christians and Muslims unite on humanity's common ground.

Greg Barrett is a twenty-year veteran of news wires and newspapers with experience covering Washington, Wall Street and war. He is the author of two books of narrative nonfiction: The Gospel of Rutba: War, Peace and the Good Samaritan Story in Iraq and The Gospel of Father Joe: Revolutions & Revelations in the Slums of Bangkok.
