Armed Robbery Under Investigation By Herndon Police

HERNDON, VA — Herndon Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred Thursday morning near Dulles Park, according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.

Police were contacted shortly after 10 a.m. for the report of a robbery that had just happened in the 1000 block of Elden Street. No suspects were arrested and no one was injured, according to Lisa Herndon, an HPD public information officer.

Police warned the public to avoid the area while they were conducting their investigation, according to a 10:22 a.m. Twitter post. Officers had cleared the scene by 11:24 a.m.
