Batter Up, Herndon: Spring Baseball Season Kicks Off with Fun for Kids Ages 3–12

Spring is right around the corner, and Herndon Reston Youth Baseball is gearing up to resume practices and games at local Herndon fields and parks! Families are invited to register boys and girls ages 3–12 for the upcoming spring season.

The league offers free Blast Ball, a fun and energetic introduction to baseball designed especially for three-year-olds. It’s the perfect way for little sluggers to learn the basics, build confidence, and fall in love with the game in a supportive environment.

As players grow, so do the opportunities. Herndon Reston Youth Baseball is the only local youth league offering 50/70 Majors (50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths), giving their oldest players the chance to develop their skills on a field designed to prepare them for the next level of competition.

Part of the Herndon Optimist Club Youth Sports program, the all-volunteer league is built on community spirit and a shared love of the game. Players not only sharpen their baseball skills but also build lasting friendships and create memories that will stay with them long after the final out of the season.

Practices and games begin in April and run through early June on local Herndon fields, making it easy for families to stay connected and involved all season long.
