Big Solar Eclipse Party At Herndon High School

Herndon High School will have 1,000 free eclipse viewing glasses to hand out on Aug. 21, as well as lots of food.

HERNDON, VA — Looking for some people to party with when the solar eclipse rolls through the area on Aug. 21? Head over to Herndon High School, which is hosting an Eclipse Viewing Party for the whole family.

If you haven't been able to get your hands on some special eclipse viewing glasses, you're in luck, as the Goddard Space Flight Center has provided Herndon High School with 1,000 free pairs to give away, according to Fairfax County Public Schools.

And don't worry about food -- kids eat free, and adults only have to pay $2.

The party starts at noon on Monday, Aug. 21. The school is located at 700 Bennett Street.
