Boozing, Snoozing Herndon Residents Busted: Police

Loudoun County police arrested two people in Ashburn who were from Herndon and allegedly had a bit too much to drink.

HERNDON, VA — Two people from Herndon were arrested in the early morning hours by Loudoun County sheriff's deputies over the weekend in separate incidents, both for alcohol-related charges with at least one of them found sleeping.

The first incident happened just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, when deputies found 32-year-old Alok K. Choubey of Herndon near the intersection of Waxpool Road and Loudoun County parkway in Ashburn as they searched for a disabled vehicle, according to a report from the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Choubey faces charges of driving while intoxicated. He was released on a personal recognizance bond.

The second incident happened the next morning just after 2 a.m. at the intersection of Exchange Street and Thorndike Street, also in Ashburn.

A deputy on patrol saw 33-year-old Bradley A. Truxell of Herndon asleep in a common area, the report states. Truxell was charged with drunk in public, and was also released on a personal recognizance bond.
