Boyle's Irish Dance Worlds Team Plans March 6 Send-off at Ned Devine's

Join world-championship-caliber Irish dancers and local musician Ted Garber for an amazing evening at Ned Devine's Irish Sports Pub

Herndon, Va. – When 12 students of the Boyle School of Irish Dance head to Glasgow, Scotland in March for the World Irish Dancing Championships, they will take with them the support and enthusiasm of their Herndon, Chantilly, Manassas and Alexandria communities.

That will be apparent at the Boyle School of Irish Dance “Worlds Team Showcase,” featuring the music of local top entertainer Ted Garber.

Billed as “The World’s Finest at Ned Devine’s,” the event will thrill attendees with championship-caliber dancing that celebrates Irish culture, as well as the hard work and talent of the competitors. Through donations of $5 per person or $20 per family, the event also will help the competitors and their families defray the significant costs of travel, accommodations and costumes.

More than 5,000 dancers from countries all over the world will compete in the 46th World Irish Dancing Championships at The Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, Scotland, March 20-27, 2016. Published estimates have suggested that competitors at the World Irish Dancing Championships represent the top one percent of Irish dancers worldwide.

The Boyle School’s Worlds team includes eight girls and four boys, ranging in age from 11 to 21. Overall, the school teaches nearly 500 dancers at campuses in Alexandria, Chantilly, Herndon and Manassas.
