Dave Kirby For Town Council
"I have a deep belief and passion for our democratic based process. Running for town council and hopefully serving the citizens of Herndon, is my way to pay back for that privilege."
I ‘m Dave Kirby and, once again, I’m running for Herndon Town Council. I have a deep belief and passion for our democratic based process and I truly believe we live in the greatest country on earth. Running for town council and hopefully serving the citizens of Herndon, is my way to pay back for that privilege.
We are not a true Democracy, but a Republic, and we have to elect those who represent us at all levels of government. This means it is up to all citizens to get out and vote on Tuesday, May 1 for those candidates that, they believe, will make the right decisions based on their beliefs on how to resolve the issues that face our town. No one is going to be in agreement with every issue that faces us, so the process of picking who to vote for must be a compromise. I have my own understanding and positions on the major issues that face the town today and I have listed them in my brochure and on my website and facebook at:

I understand that you probably have your own issues that are not being addressed by the current candidates and that’s what I want to get to know and understand. Please review my website and continue to return to this blog and/or my website, facebook, or twitter and let me know your concerns, issues and ideas or ways we can make our town a better place to live. If elected to the Town Council, I will be working FOR YOU and will listen to your concerns which I will take under consideration when making the decisions that affect our town. I have two ears and one mouth and will use them accordingly.
Please do not hesitate to let me know what’s on your mind. I have pretty thick skin so don’t be bashful. Like I said above, I will be working for you if elected to the Council. Please, no matter what candidate you favor, get out and VOTE on Tuesday, May 1st at the Community Center.
I, of course, would appreciate your vote.
I want to thank the Patch and Leslie Perales for making these Blogs available. Communications is the key to any Campaign and the political process.
