The generations, young and old and entire families came from far and near to enthrone the King of Kings by the palace! David's Tent was a gathering place where many denominations and expressions of the body of Christ came together on the Ellipse (the backyard) of the White House just to praise Him for the simple fact that He is worthy.
There were all kinds of styles and sounds of worship from loud, soft, quiet, contemporary, hymns, modern, punk, even a drum circle, you name it! The worship covered everything from celebration, thanksgiving, adoration, warfare, proclamation and declaration. We were witnessing Psalm 118:15, "Glad songs of Salvation are in the tents of the righteous" and Psalm 27:6, "...and now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in His tent shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord." Psalm 22:3 says, "the Lord is enthroned on the praises of His people."
Jesus truly was enthroned on the praises of His people on the land of the highest governmental office of our Nation day and night continuously for 41 days for no other reason than He is worthy. We can only imagine how His heart must have been stirred and moved by this lavish act and sacrifice of love poured out at His feet.

"For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the LORD of Hosts" - Malachi 1:11.
About David’s Tent DC
The name “David’s Tent DC” has a double meaning. First, the restoration of the fallen Tent of David (Amos 9:11) meant that a descendent of David would once again be on the throne! This is fulfilled in Jesus! David’s Tent DC is a national confession that Jesus is Lord of America and we receive Him as such. We know it’s significant that God has made a way to build this altar of worship right beside the highest executive office in our land.
Secondly, David’s Tent DC refers to the tent King David had erected to host the Ark of the Covenant. He hired over 4,000 musicians and singers to minister to the Lord 24/7 for the length of his reign. This tent was in Jerusalem, his Capital City! It brought blessing on the whole nation.
