Triple Coupons and Takeout Salmon

Save more than a few dollars this week with triple coupons.

Pull out your 55 and 75 cent coupons and get to Harris Teeter for triple coupons.  You'll save more than a few dollars through Tuesday March 27th.  There is a limit of 20 coupons per day.  Money doesn’t grow on trees but it does come in the Sunday paper.

Takeout Salmon

This recipe was created with condiment packets from Chinese  takeout during a family vacation with relatives in Florida.  While the rest of the family visited Harry Potter World, I and the oldest niece, Melissa, stayed behind for a relaxing day at the pool.  A quick trip to the store for some salmon and dinner would be ready when the brood was finished riding their Nimbus 2000’s (they actually got stuck on the ride) for the day.

1 to 1 ½ pounds salmon fillets

Salt or seasoned salt

2 packets sweet and sour sauce

1 packet hot Chinese mustard

2 packets soy sauce

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Place the salmon in a baking dish.  Season the salmon with the salt.  Mix together the mustard and the sweet and sour sauce.  Spread the mixture over the salmon.  Pour the contents of the soy sauce packets over the salmon and bake for 22 to 28 minutes, or until the salmon just starts to flake when tested with a fork.
