Burning Boxes Fill Herndon Apartment Building With Smoke
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units responded Tuesday morning to the report of a fire in a Herndon apartment building.

HERNDON, VA — Fairfax County Fire and Rescue responded Tuesday morning to an apartment fire in the Herndon area, according to a post on FCFRD's official Twitter account.
Units responded around 9 a.m., to the report of a fire in an apartment building in the 13900 block of Mansarde Avenue. Several boxes were on fire in the hallway of the building, which activated the building's sprinklers. The boxes were removed from the building prior to the arrival of fire units.
Once the fire was extinguished, FCFRD crews worked to remove smoke from the first floor of the building. No injuries were reported.
