HERNDON, VA — A woman reported her car stolen in Herndon recently, only for police to later find it in Sterling -- with the keys sitting in plain view inside.
Police were called to the 2100 block of Wordsworth Court on Nov. 15, where a woman reported that her 2012 Honda Civic valued at $5,000 had been stolen from an "unknown location near her residence," according to a report from the Herndon Police Department.
Police found the vehicle in a parking lot in Sterling. It had no additional damage to it, and the keys were sitting in the center console, the report states.
