Carjacking At Gunpoint, Robbery By Juvenile In Herndon Investigated

HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon Police are investigating a carjacking that took place Saturday night near Bruin Park, according to the weekly crime report.

Officers responded around 9 p.m., for multiple reports of a gunshot being heard in the 500 block of Fairfax Lane. The victim told arriving officers that an acquaintance had pulled out a handgun, assaulted him and then fired the gun. He then drove away in the victim's car, according to police.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, according to police, who later recovered the stolen car.

Town of Herndon police are also investigating a robbery that took place around 6:30 p.m., on Saturda, according to the weekly crime report. The victim told police that he was in the 13000 block of Worldgate Drive when he was approached by about six juveniles. One of the group assaulted and robbed of his personal property.

Both of these cases remain under investigation.
