Chesterbrook Academy Preschoolers Donate $1,000+ to Charity

Summer campers at Chesterbrook Academy Preschools in Northern Virginia – including Ashburn, Clifton, and Herndon – recently donated more than $1,200 items to Habitat for Humanity of Washington D.C. & Northern Virginia. For the past few weeks, students across the schools worked together to raise money for the organization selling baked goods, holding a donation drive, and hosting a Touch A Truck event.

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool instills a sense of social responsibility at an early age by implementing opportunities for students to learn about the importance of giving back to their communities and helping others in need. Its signature Links to Learning preschool curriculum emphasizes social-emotional learning as a stepping stone for kindergarten and beyond. Teachers work with children to help recognize and label emotions in themselves and others, while learning how they fit into their community and the larger world.
