Children, Woman Struck by Car in Herndon: Police
A woman is fighting for her life after an accident on Centreville Road.

HERNDON, VA — A woman and two children have been struck by a car on Centreville Road in Herndon Tuesday afternoon, but all are expected to survive, according to Fairfax County Police.
Police say the two children have injuries that are not life-threatening. Initially, police tweeted that the woman had life-threatening injuries, but in a follow-up message at 4:49 p.m. police indicated that she was expected to survive.
The incident shut down Centreville Road at McNair Farms Drive.

Police continued to investigate the scene into Tuesday evening. There was no initial word on whether the driver of the car would face any charges or who was at fault.
