Deadline to Enroll into Healthcare.gov is Fast Approaching: Feb. 15
ENROLL-Virginia and Healthworks to Host a Special Enrollment Event Feb 7th!

ENROLL-Virginia and Healthworks are co-hosting a Special Enrollment Event in Herndon, Virginia, with the assistance of Northern Virginia Family Service to assist more than 45 individuals enroll into the health insurance marketplace on February 7th. With the February 15th enrollment deadline soon approaching, Virginian families and individuals have limited time to purchase or renew their existing health plan for 2015.
“The Affordable Care Act is working to shrink the ranks of the uninsured, expand access to affordable healthcare, and drive down the cost of health care in America,” said Congressman Gerald Connolly. Congressman Connolly, representative of Virginia’s 10th District, will be in attendance in support of this community event.

ENROLL-Virginia, Healthworks, and NVFS will provide free in-person assistance with the healthcare.gov application as well as education on the consumer benefits under the Affordable Care Act, basic insurance concepts, and for those who do not end up qualifying for an affordable health plan, the safety-net resources available to them in their area. Thankfully, nonprofit organizations such as Healthworks will continue to offer healthcare services to individuals who have limited or no health insurance, e.g., individuals who fall in the Medicaid gap who do not make enough to be eligible for tax subsidies.
The Herndon Enrollment Event will take place at the Connections for Hope Partnership Office in 1141 Elden Street, Suite 200, Herndon, Virginia, from 1 pm to 6 pm on February 7th. There will be several multilingual Certified Application Counselors and In-Person Assisters to guide individuals of diverse ethnic backgrounds through the enrollment process. Only persons with an appointment will be assisted.

Please plan to bring the following to your scheduled appointment: 2013 tax return or recent pay stubs, certificate of citizenship or other legal immigration documents, social security numbers for every member of the family, employer name and phone number, and an email address accessible the day of the event.
