Driver Shoots Gun At Bicyclist In Herndon: Police

HERNDON, VA -- Police are investigating after a man shot at a bicyclist while driving in Herndon on Wednesday.

Police were called to the 2400 block of Centreville Road at around 10:40 p.m. to a report of a shooting, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"The victim and suspect are known to each other and had a physical altercation," the report states. "The victim left the area on his bicycle and later found the suspect driving next to him at the above location. The suspect produced a handgun firing at him from inside a vehicle."

The victim was not hit and ran away from the suspect, who drove off, police say.
