HERNDON, VA — Town of Herndon police are investigating a recent burglary at a local business, according to the weekly crime report.

Sometime overnight on Aug. 20-21, unknown individuals forced their way into a business in the 200 block of Elden Street in Herndon and stole property. This case remains under investigation.

Between Aug. 17-23, Town of Herndon officers issued 79 traffic summons, including two for driving while intoxicated and nine for driving with no operator's license.

There were six reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
