YIN AND RESTORATIVE KARMA YOGA CLASS To BENEFIT RESTON INTERFAITH with Kathy Duke and Pat Pao

Are you ready to unwind and rejuvenate as summer’s heat and busyness winds down? Join Pat Pao and Kathy Duke for an afternoon of yin and restorative yoga practice in the spirit of giving.

Yin Yoga is a quiet practice in which poses are held for 3-5 minutes to provide gentle stress for the joints and assist energy flow in the body. It is based on the ancient Chinese philosophy that connective tissues in the body serve as passageways for the flow of life-giving energy that nourishes the organs. Restorative yoga is a practice in which yoga postures are done with support to allow the longer holds, increasing the benefits to mind and body in each pose. Both approaches are quieting, nurturing practices that offer a balancing quality to the mind and body, providing an excellent opportunity to make the transition from summer’s fire to fall’s cooler temperatures. Open to all levels. No registration required. 2 CEUs
