Fairfax County Police Modify Services Due To Coronavirus

Fairfax County Police have added staff to its Community Reporting Center and made other adjustments in response to the coronavirus.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — The Fairfax County Police Department is altering the way it responds to Fairfax residents reporting crimes due to the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.

FCPD has added more staff to its Community Reporting Section, which handles certain types of police reports over the phone, according to Chief Edwin C. Roessler Jr. in a department release.

Citizens can also report non-emergencies online, as well as financial crimes. For those without internet access or those wishing to report non-emergencies over the phone, they can call 703-691-2131. As always, members of the public should call 9-1-1 to report an emergency situation. FCPD will continue to provide essential services.
