Firefighters Extinguish Herndon House Fire; No Injuries Reported
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units responded to a house fire in the Herndon area Wednesday afternoon.
HERNDON, VA — Fairfax County firefighters extinguished a house fire in the Herndon area Wednesday afternoon. No civilian injuries were reported.
On Wednesday, Feb. 26, around 2:19 p.m., Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units were dispatched to the report of a house fire in the 1500 block of Millikens Bend Road. Arriving on the scene, firefighters saw fire showing from one side of the house, according to Ashley Hildebrandt, public safety information officer with FCFD.

Two occupants were able to evacuate the home safely, and the fire was extinguished by 3:10 p.m., according to a post on FCFD's Twitter account.
"We won't know more about what the damages are or what caused it until fire investigators complete their investigation,"Hildebrandt said.
