First Day Of School 2022: Herndon Readers Share Student Photos

With the start of the 2022-23 school year on Monday, Herndon families shared photos with Patch of their students' first day.

HERNDON, VA — Monday was the start of the 2022-23 academic year at Fairfax County Public Schools.

A tradition for some families is taking a photo on the first day of school each year and comparing them from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Patch asked its readers to submit photos of their child's first day at school on Monday. Here are some of the photos we received:
