Five Things To Know This Week

The Herndon Town Council will be discussing the town's 2013 budget Tuesday night at 7 p.m.

1) The Herndon Town Council will . On the agenda is the town's 2013 budget. Herndon residents and businesses are welcome to comment on the budget. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Mary Ingram Council Chambers, 765 Lynn St. 

2) at Frying Pan Farm Park. The program provides children and adults of all ages and physical and cognitive abilities the opportunity to work with therapeutic riding horses for beginner lessons and other assisted activities. 

3) The next is Thursday evening at Herndon Middle School at 6 p.m. In the past eight years Herndon’s Relay event has raised more than $1.3 million for the American Cancer Society. This year's Relay for Life will take place June 9-10 at Herndon Middle School.

4) The Town of Herndon's town-wide spring cleanup will take place the week of April 16-20. Residents may place items to be picked up on their trash day only. Visit the Town of Herndon's website for a list of items that can be picked up during the cleanup. 

5) The this Friday. Let the kids have fun with their friends and take a night off. They'll have a cheese pizza dinner, watch a movie and play games. The program requires registration by 4 p.m. Friday.
