Five Things To Know This Week
Herndon Rotary has two $3,000 scholarships available to students living in the Town of Herndon.
1. available for high school students living in the town of Herndon, whether they are home schooled, attend a private school or attend Herndon High School. Two students will be awarded $3,000. Application requirements .
2. of service to the Herndon area community. The center provides numerous wrap-around services for those in need, including financial management counseling, tax assistance, job seeking assistance, health services through the Jeanie Schmidt Free Clinic and more. a full update on Connections for Hope.
3. The Herndon Harbor Adult Day Health Care Center is seeking volunteers for two positions. The center needs volunteers to from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The center is also for one hour at a time to play and entertain participants. Click here for more information.

4. , the Elementary Institute for the Arts. The program is in conjunction with FCPS' Institute for the Arts and is open to students currently in grades 3-5. Both programs wil be held at Lake Braddock Secondary School. Students will be transported from FCPS high school locations. Classes will include things such as world drumming, jazz dance, sculptural play and more.
5. The Herndon Town Council will discuss establishing the town's position on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisor's ordinance that will attempt to regulate town water rates charged to customers who do not live within the Town of Herndon limits at its work session on Tuesday, March 20. The Council will make a decison on its possition at its March 27 public hearing.
