Floris Elementary Students Give Back to Troops

Students on Floris Elementary School's Student Council Association took charge and decided to hold a collection drive for U.S. troops during the holiday season. Many soldiers are in need of hygenic items such as shampoo, toothpaste, sunscreen and deoderant. The SCA promoted the community service event through the school's news program and designed posters for the collection. Floris Elementary School as a whole collected more than 16 large shipping boxes filled with hundreds of items that will be sent to the U.S. Troops Care Package organization.
