Forcible Rape Of Juvenile Charge Filed Against Herndon Man

HERNDON, VA — Herndon Police arrested a local man in connection with the sexual assault of a juvenile in February, according to the weekly crime report.

Police charged Oscar Martinez Alarcon, 21, of Herndon with forcible rape of a juvenile victim on Feb. 12, 2019. Police say Alarcon met the victim on social media.

Alarcon was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

Between Aug. 23-29, Town of Herndon police officers issued 98 traffic summonses, including one for driving while intoxicated, four for driving with no operator's license, three for driving on a suspended or revoked license and one for operating a vehicle while holding a phone.

There were 11 reportable traffic accidents in Herndon. Virginia State Police define "reportable crashes" as those that result in $1,500 in property damage and/or injury.
