Freeze Watch In Herndon Friday Night

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for our area into Saturday morning.

HERNDON, VA -- The string of warm weather in our area is over, and we're about to get a big chill starting Friday evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a freeze watch for Maryland, Virginia, and the District, which will last from Friday evening into Saturday morning.

Temperatures will dip below freezing after sunset on Friday, and the frigid conditions will last until about 10 a.m. the next day. The extreme temperatures could kill or damage plants, so if you tend a garden, cover your plants with newspapers or tarp.
