Friends of Runnymede Park Annual Meeting Set for Sunday
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. Sunday at ArtSpace Herndon.
The Friends of Runnymede Park is holding its annual meeting from 7-9 p.m. this Sunday.
The group serves as stewards for the 58-acre park on the east side of Herndon, founded the Native Plant Project in Herndon and works to plan annual events such as the Runnymede Park cleanup day and NatureFest.
The annual meeting will be held at ArtSpace Herndon, located at 750 Center St. in downtown Herndon.

The meeting will feature a presentation by area resident Jim Delker, who will share images from his recent photo safari where he traveled to Kenya and Tanzania.
Delker has captured a number of photos of various animals from antelope to zebras, and landscapes such as the Serengeti, the Masai Mara plans, Mount Kilamanjaro and Lake Nakuru, the home of two million flamingoes.

Wine and light refreshments from Herndon's JJ Deli will be served at the annual meeting. The meeting is free and open to the public.
