Frigid Thanksgiving In Herndon: Forecast

HERNDON, VA -- It's going to be a relatively calm and quiet Thanksgiving week on the weather front in Herndon, but Turkey Day itself will be positively bone-chilling -- so definitely stay inside with loved ones.

The current forecast from the National Weather Service calls for a sunny Thanksgiving Day with highs topping at around the low to mid 30s, and lows dropping into the 20s at night.

The rest of the week won't be quite so cold, but it is late November and it will be chilly. Monday will be the warmest day, with highs approaching 60 under partly sunny skies, and a chance of some showers in the evening.

Tuesday will be a little bit cooler and definitely windier, but it will be an otherwise nice fall day. Wednesday will be relatively decent as well.

Thursday is when temperatures plunge, and it should remain pretty cold on Friday, albeit still sunny.

Over the weekend, temperatures creep up into the 50s and rain creeps into the forecast.
