HERNDON, VA — For the second year in a row, Frying Pan Farm Park has had to cancel its annual Spring Farm Day, which was originally scheduled for May 1.

While the Fairfax County Park Authority pays for the farm's operation, the Friends of Frying Pan Park, a nonprofit organization, owns the animals and relies on fund-raisers like the farm day for support. Without the money from Spring Farm Day, the friends group may lose thousands of dollars that it depends on to help care and feed for the farm's animals.

To help offset the loss of revenue from the cancellation of Spring Farm Day and pay for the more than 100 animal ambassadors at the park, the Friends of Frying Pan Park is asking the public to make a donation.
