Fairfax Fire Department Says Situation Stable After Earlier Gas Leak In Herndon
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue returned to service Thursday afternoon after responding to a gas leak near Centreville Road in Herndon.

HERNDON, VA — Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units returned to service around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday after responding to a gas leak in Herndon,according to a post on the department's official Twitter account.
Units responded around 1 p.m. to the scene of the leak after a 4-inch gas line was struck in the 2200 block of Centreville Road.

Firefighters reported the situation was stable around 1:30 p.m. Arrowbrook Centre Drive at Centreville Road remained closed to traffic, while firefighters waited for the gas company to arrive and clamp the line.
