All Old Town Herndon Streets Reopen Following Gas Leak: Updated
Police closed multiple streets in Old Town Herndon around 2 p.m. Tuesday due to a gas leak. All roads reopened shortly before 7 p.m.

HERNDON, VA — All Old Town streets that had been closed to traffic on Tuesday afternoon due to a gas leak were reopened to traffic, according to 6:48 p.m. post on the Herndon Police Department's official Twitter account.
Around 2 p.m., HPD closed several intersections in Old Town to allow crews to make repairs in order to stop a gas leak. The following intersections and the surrounding area were closed for several hours:

- Center/Vine
- Center/Locust
In addition, Elden Street from Spring and Grace streets, as well as various side streets, were also closed, according to a 2:06 p.m. update on Twitter.
The public was warned to avoid the area during the closures.
