The 68th Annual Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival at Frying Pan Park is free to enter.

HERNDON, VA -- There's only a few weeks left of summer to savor, so why not bring the family down to the county fair? The 68th Annual Fairfax County 4-H Fair and Carnival is kicking off Thursday and will last through the weekend at Frying Pan Farm Park in Herndon.
There will be carnival rides, live entertainment, animal demos, interactive educational exhibits and, of course, lots and lots of food all day from Aug. 4-7, according to the official site.
That's to say nothing about some of the special events that will be taking place, like Big Truck Night and the Tractor Pull.
