Here's When The Sun Returns In Herndon

It's been a cloudy and soggy 24 hours, but there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

HERNDON, VA -- We've been getting our scheduled and much-needed April soaking, but you're probably looking forward to seeing the sun again in Herndon. Fortunately, you won't have to wait too much longer.

It's going to continue to be wet for most of Wednesday, with showers floating in and out of the area. So you should keep that umbrella handy throughout the day, as well as a jacket because things will be slightly cooler than usual. And temperatures will be positively chilly Wednesday evening, dipping as low as the 40s as the skies begin to clear.

On Thursday, the weather takes a shift to the part of spring that we love: mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees.

Enjoy that sun while you can, because the clouds will move back in during the evening as another system potentially pushes into our area, with showers possible overnight into Friday, according to the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang.
