Herndon Farm Is Home To Pardoned White House Turkeys: Report

Frying Pan Farm reportedly has hosted several pardoned turkeys over the years.

HERNDON, VA -- When the president pardons a turkey, where does the bird go? The answer depends, but sometimes, they go to Frying Pan Farm in Herndon to live out the rest of their days, according to a report.

The Washington Post reports that the tradition of the president pardoning Thanksgiving turkeys has mixed results for the bird. This year, President Trump pardoned Peas and Carrots, who will head to "Gobbler's Rest" at Virginia Tech.

In the past, pardoned Thanksgiving turkeys have been sent to several petting farms, and one of them is Frying Pan Farm in Herndon.
