Herndon Farmers Market To Open For 2023 Season In Early May

HERNDON, VA — Local produce and other foods are back for the season as the Herndon Farmers Market prepares to open again in Old Town Herndon.

The Herndon Farmers Market, which is operated by the Fairfax County Park Authority, will run on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. between May 4 to Nov. 7. It will be located near the Red Caboose in Old Town Herndon at 700 Block of Lynn St.

Park authority-run markets feature locally-grown produce, baked goods, prepared foods and more products from local vendors. Participating vendors come from a 125-mile radius of Fairfax County, although there are a few exceptions for rare products.

Park authority farmers markets opening in April are the Burke Farmers Market, McCutcheon/Mount Vernon and Reston Farmers Market. Other markets opening in May include Oak Marr (Oakton), Wakefield (Annandale), Annandale, McLean, Kingstowne and Lorton.
