Herndon Gas Station Clerk Murdered: Police
Police say the clerk at the Sunoco on Franklin Farm Road was murdered early Wednesday morning.

HERNDON, VA -- A gas station clerk is dead and a suspect is in custody after a homicide in Herndon early Wednesday morning, police say.
Police were called to the Sunoco in the 13300 block of Franklin Farm Road just after 1:15 a.m. for a report of a robbery, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.
Police arrived within three minutes and took 19-year-old Mohamed A. Abdullahi of Herndon in custody in a shopping center parking lot. Police say 40-year-old Resham Bajgain of Herndon died from blunt force trauma to the upper body.

"Detectives would like to hear from anyone with information, to include the driver of a Pontiac GTO who was near the Sunoco around the time of the murder," the report states. "Abdullahi is being held at the Adult Detention Center without bond."
