Herndon Is About To Get Some Incredible Weather

Get ready for many days of temperatures in the 70s ... and a lot of rain.

HERNDON, VA — Rejoice, Herndonians. You've got another day of fairly warm weather on Friday, and then after that, it's likely to feel like spring for a while.

Friday's projected high is 89, but it will be the last time temps will get anywhere near that for a while. The high temperature won't get out of the low 80s through the first half of August, according to early projections for the month from Weather.com.

Saturday and Sunday are forecast to reach highs of 81 and 82 respectively, and from Aug. 7 through Aug. 16 the high is expected to fluctuate between 78 and 80, meaning most of the time you'll be enjoying temperatures in the 70s with lows diving into the mid-60s in the evening.

Unfortunately, the nice temperatures come with a lot of rain in the forecast. Between Aug. 5-16, all but five days have at least a 50 percent chance of rain in the forecast currently.

Obviously, many of these forecasts will change in the coming days and weeks. But at least for now, there's good reason to hope for a spring-like August.
