Herndon Homeowner Finds House Broken Into: Police

He noticed a boarded-up window was out of place, but found nothing taken.

HERNDON, VA -- A Herndon homeowner checked on his vacant house and noticed that someone had broken in, police say.

Police believe that between Oct. 4 and Oct. 6, someone broke into the house in the 2500 block of Banshire Drive, according to a report from the Fairfax County Police Department.

"The homeowner checked on his vacant residence when he noticed a boarded-up window was out of place," the report states. "It appeared that someone had broken in and rummaged through the house, however, nothing was taken."
